The Pakistan Cricket Board, popularly known as PCB, decides the salaries of each player depending on their performance. The Pakistan Cricketer Salaries Breakdown 2025 is done in four categories: A-D. The highest-paid players are in category A, and the lowest in category D. Especially after being the 4th largest cricket board in the world, PCB pays the players sufficiently. The Pakistan Cricketer Salaries Breakdown 2025 shows a massive rise compared to the previous year’s salaries. A rise of 200% for category A players, whereas 144% for category B, 135% for category C, and 125% for category D. This is not the only source of earnings for the cricketers; social media, endorsements, and advertising play a vital role in their net worth. Pakistani cricketers basically endorse both national and international brands. Pepsi, Huawei, HBL, and Oppo are a few brands.
A player has also been downgraded from category A to category B. Shaheen Afridi was previously a Category A player, whereas this season he has moved down to Category B. Test captain Shan Masood also remained in category B despite a great series win against England. He could have had a player who could have moved up the order, but it didn’t happen.
Fakhar Zaman, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Osama Mir are the players who miss out on getting a central contract for the 2024-25 season. The board made a delay of three months before announcing the contracts, as they wanted to look at some factors that determined players’ fitness, behavior, and performance. Fakhar has an ongoing knee problem for which he is undergoing rehabilitation at the NCA in Lahore. He failed two fitness tests recently and will now take another test at the end of November
Iman-ul-Haq was also one of those players who didn’t get a contract because of his fitness. He has also been sidelined from the team.
