Rueben Chinyelu Scouting Report
He was regarded as one of the best young talents to emerge in 2023 after his spell at the Stade Malien. A lot of teams were interested in bringing Rueben to their team. In the year 2022, Rueben had given his word to Washington State, and the following year, he joined them. He spent a year there. Later, the next year, he was transferred to the Florida Gators.
His Potential:
When we talk about the potential of a young talent, the sky is the limit. It’s the same case with Rueben; he is just 21 years old. There is a lot that he can improve on and surely reach that greatness. He just needs to keep his focus on the game and nowhere else. Rueben has the rebounding skills and technical aspects as his main plus points.
Strengths:
The main strength would be his rebounding skills. Rueben is a player who not only helps you with one aspect but surely more than that. His defensive technique is an other aspect. He also has the strength to outmuscle his opponents. At the age of 21, Rueben has also played internationally for Nigeria, which also adds experience to his resume. When we talk about this season, he averages 6.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game.
Weakness:
We should not call it weaknesses but say things he can improve on. He should be more offensive and can work on it. Free throws and playmaking can be other things. When we see the greats, all the aspects come together, which makes them the greatest. A thing in his favour, he is young and has a lot of time to improve.
