Jamal Murray has faced a lot of setbacks in his career and has missed many important games as well. Injuries play a vital role in any sportsman’s career, and to come out of it and perform again at his peak is difficult.

Recoveries and Road to Greatness:

The toughest part of his career would be the recovery phase, as a lot of things go through your mind. In 2021, he got an ACL injury, which kept him out for nearly 18 months. After coming back in December 2022, he helped his team win its first NBA title. During his recovery, he focused on small things, most importantly the mental aspect, because it was crucial for him to be tough mentally. In 2023, in an interview, he revealed :

Patience is key, and having self-motivation is key, Get through those days you don’t want to do it. Those are the days when you have to do it the most. That mindset will stick with you even when you’re not hurt.

He was the 7th overall draft pick in 2016 by the Denver Nuggets. Apart from the injuries, he has been an impactful player for the team, especially in his clutch moments. He still has more years to achieve a lot of great things.
