India, Australia, England, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, South Africa, New Zealand, and Pakistan are the eight teams. The West Indies Women’s team will miss out on the ICC World Women’s Cup 2025. They were the semi-finalists of the last edition.
All eight teams will play one team against each team in the group stage of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. There are a total of 31 matches in the competition (28 group stage, two semi-finals, and one final). For winning each match, the winners get three points, and zero points are given to the losing side. If the match gets abandoned due to rain, then both teams will get a point each. The net run-rate will also matter, as if there is a tie in points, then the team with a high positive net run-rate gets a place above.
