Pakistan were batting first and they scored 127/9 in their 20 overs with Sahibzada Farhan scoring the most runs for Pakistan. Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets. Eventually, India won by seven wickets. The Indian batters went to their dressing room without a handshake with the opponents, which sparked another controversy.
Suryakumar Yadav Faces Fine During Asia Cup 2025

After India won the match, Suryakumar Yadav dedicated the win to all victims of the Pahalgam attack and the Indian armed forces. He also meant they just came to play the match and nothing else.

The Pakistan Cricket Board registered a complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) against the India captain for his comments. They felt Suryakumar Yadav brought politics into the game of cricket. On 26th September (Thursday), the match referee, Richie Richardson, announced there would be a fine for the Indian Captain, Suryakumar Yadav, for this comment. He will be fined 30% of his match fee after being found guilty of his comments.

Suryakumar Yadav just dedicated a win, and it’s hard to believe what was wrong in that. Eventually, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has also filed a complaint against the Pakistan Cricket Board for this.
