This was the 10th match of the Asia Cup 2025. Basically, the Dubai International Cricket Stadium was the venue for this game. The Pakistan team showed up one hour late for the match as Andy Pycrott was not removed as the match referee. Pakistan beats the UAE by 41 runs to get a place in the Super-Fours of the Asia Cup 2025.
The captain of the United Arab Emirates, Muhamnad Waseem, won the toss and decided the host would bowl first. There was one change for the UAE team as Jawadullah missed out, and Simranjeet got a place in the playing 11. Pakistan got what they wanted. They made two changes to their playing 11 from the last match, as Haris and Khushdil made their place in the team.

Basically, some things just don’t change, as it was the third time in three matches that Saim Ayub got out without scoring a run. Farhan, the other opener, was also dismissed cheaply, for just five runs. It was the experience of Fakhar Zaman and captain Salman Agha who added 61 runs for the third wicket.
Fakhar scored a half-century. At the end, it was again Shaheen Afridi who scored important runs that helped Pakistan reach a decent total. Pakistan scored 146/9 in their 20 overs. Junaid took 4/18 in his four overs and was the pick of the bowlers. This was his back-to-back 4-wicket haul.
Both openers of the United Arab Emirates could impress in this match. Shaheen dismissed Sharafu, whereas Abrar dismissed the captain, Muhammad Waseem. When Rahul Chopra and Dhruv Parashar were at the crease, the impossible seemed a bit possible, but once they got out, the batting just slipped off. The United Arab Emirates lost their last seven wickets for just 20 runs. They got a lot for 105. Shaheen, Rauf, and Abrar all got two wickets each.
Shaheen Shah Afridi was awarded the Man of the Match award for his all-around performance. He scored 29 runs with the bat and also picked up two wickets with the ball. Pakistan is now the second team from Group A to qualify for the Asia Cup 2025 Super-Fours. India is the first team to qualify.
