Tilak Varma and Sanju Samson added 66 runs for the 4th wicket as Axar scored 21* runs in 15 balls. Tilak Varma scored 49* in 34 balls. India scored 202/5 in 20 overs. It is the first time a team has scored more than 200 runs in the Asia Cup 2025.

Sri Lanka lost an early wicket of Kusal Mendis in the first over. It was Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Perera who added 127 runs for the second wicket. Pathum Nissanka scored 107 runs in 58 balls and became the first player to score a century in the Asia Cup 2025. Kusal Perera scored 58 runs in 32 balls.

Sri Lanka needed 12 runs in the last over. Harshit Rana was bowling. Three runs were required from the final delivery. Dasun Shanaka scored two runs, and the match went down to the Super Over. Sri Lanka also scored 202/5 in 20 overs.

The Sri Lankan batters could only score two runs as they lost both their wickets. Arshdeep Singh bowled brilliantly. Suryakumar scored three runs in the first match, and India won the match in the Super-over. Pathum Nissanka was the Man of the Match for his century. India will now play Pakistan in the final of the Asia Cup 2025 on 28th September.
