The FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 will be the first-ever edition of the Women’s Futsal. The dates for the tournament are November 21 to December 7. FIFA had planned to host this tournament in 2018, but due to criticisms from the futsal players, the tournament didn’t go ahead. Four years later, FIFA announced it and we will see the first FIFA Futsal Women’s World cup by the year end.

FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025: About the Host Country
The Philippines has won the bid and gets the chance to host the tournament. On May 14, 2024, FIFA gave the green light and announced the Philippines as the host. After being successful in organising the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup and having great indoor arenas, it can be the reason for FIFA to select them.
This will be the first time that the Philippines will host a FIFA event. The last FIFA Women’s event that happened in Asia was in 2004. Italy, Brazil, and Spain also gave their bid.
FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 Venues
Two venues have been confirmed so far by FIFA. PhilSports Arena (Pasig), with a capacity of 10,000, and Victorias City Coliseum (Victorias), with a capacity of 8,000, are the approved venues.
Araneta Coliseum (Quezon City) with a capacity of 14,429, Mall of Asia Arena (Pasay) with a capacity of 15,000, Seaside City Arena (Cebu City) with a capacity of 16,000, and the University of San Agustin Gym (Iloilo City) are the venues and are still under consideration.
FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 Format
A total of sixteen teams will be divided into four groups. The top two teams will qualify for the knockouts. Matches that will be included in the knockouts will be the quarter finals, semi-finals, third place match, and the finals.
FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup 2025 Qualification Scenario
Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Italy, New Zealand, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, and Spain are the teams that have already qualified. Eleven teams have already booked their place in the competition. Eventually, seven more teams will qualify.
The qualifying places that remain are three from the AFC, two from the CAF, and two from the CONCACAF. Let us watch the match dates for the qualifiers:
