Certainly, the IPL’s overall valuation has reached a whopping USD 18.5 billion this year, that is, 2025. If we convert this amount to INR, it’s somewhere more than Rs 1,55,00 crores. It has gone up by more than 12.5% when we compare it to the last edition of the Indian Premier League.

The Indian Premier League is not just a domestic league but also a brand now. There are a lot of reasons apart from cricket that make the league generate revenue. One of them is surely the sponsors. IPL not only attracts sponsorship from Indian brands but also from every part of the world. The other reason for generating revenue is selling the broadcasting rights, as the amount generated increases with more viewership. All of this is managed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)

When we talk about the sole brand value of IPL in 2024, it was somewhere around US$3.4 billion. While this season it has moved to US$3.9 billion. We have seen a rise of more than 13.5% in the value for the same.

Which is the most valuable franchise of the IPL for the first time?

The year 2025 is special for Royal Challengers Bengaluru for two reasons. First one is surely the wait for Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bengaluru winning an IPL trophy is over.
