After India announced their squad for the upcoming Australia ODI and T20 series, it is now the Australian Cricket Board who have announced their ODI squad as well as T20 squad for the first two matches. One of their best bowler is back in the squad for the ODI series. Eventually, Mitchell Starc is back in the Australia ODI squad vs India.
Basically, Australia is the host as India will travel to play three ODIs, which will start from 19th October 2025 in Perth. The second ODI is on 23rd October in Adelaide, whereas the third and the last ODI is on 25th October in Sydney. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are back for the India side. Mitchell Starc against them will be a great matchup that the viewers will enjoy.

Basically, one of the legendary Australian pacers, Mitchell Starc, announced his retirement from the T20 format just a month ago as he wanted to focus on the ODI and test format. He will lead Australia’s bowling line-up for the Indian series. His matchup with Virat Kohli is one of the best cricketing rivalries on the pitch. He is also eyeing the ICC World Cup 2027, which will happen in South Africa.

The Australian team just played an ODI series against the South African team in August, which they eventually lost 2-1. They lost both the opening matches, but won the last match by 276 runs. Some of the names are missing from that squad, which will feature against the Indian team. Marnus Labuschagne, who is a big name and has a great record against India, will miss out on the ODI squad. Apart from him, Aaron Hardie and Matthew Kuhnemann also miss out.
