Surely, 2030 is almost four years from now, and India is to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games after 28 Years. This will surely be a great step for India in hosting the Olympics as well in the upcoming years. If India is hosting the Commonwealth Games 2030, the question is, Can It Also Bring the 2036 Olympics Home?

The last time India hosted the Commonwealth Games was in 2010. Delhi was the host city, and more than 4300 athletes from 71 nations participated. The dates for the same were from 3rd October 2010 to 14th October 2010. We saw 21 sports with more than 270 events. It was the largest Commonwealth Games, and till today no one has been able to break that. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium was the main venue.

Basically, India has given Ahmedabad as the host city for the Commonwealth Games 2030. Eventually, Ahmedabad will have Narendra Modi Stadium for the Commonwealth Games 2030, which is the largest stadium in the world. The stadium can accommodate more than 1,30,000 spectators at once. Abuja in Nigeria was also an option for the Commonwealth Games 2030, but Ahmedabad has been given priority.

Nothing has been confirmed yet by the officials. For the Commonwealth Games 2030, the final discussion will be held on 26th November 2025. On the other hand, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) headquarters is in Lausanne, Switzerland. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has already made a visit there. The to-do list has already been sent, and the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave in Ahmedabad has an ongoing construction project to meet the requirements for the Olympics.

If India wins the bid for hosting the Olympics, it will surely be a huge step for India. This will be the first time India will host the Olympics. There will be a lot of factors that will help India’s economy boost. Emmanuel Macron, who is the President of France, is also assisting India with the same.
