Everything went as per plan for Real Madrid when they won against their arch-rivals, Barcelona, 2-1 in the El Clasico that was on 26th October. After four defeats in the last four Clasicos in the previous season, Xabi Alonso’s Real Madrid played like a team. Vinicius Jr. was very angry after he was substituted and couldn’t hide his anger. The question is, Will Vinicius Jr. seriously leave Real Madrid because of “lack of respect”?
Real Madrid scored the first goal after a controversial goal was ruled offside. Jude Bellingham set up the first goal for Kylian Mbappe. Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez made it 1-1. Just before half-time, Jude Bellingham tapped the goal in from a header pass from Eder Militao. The score was 2-1 after the first half, and it was the same score after the 90 minutes as well.
Will Vinicius Jr. seriously leave Real Madrid because of “lack of respect”?
Vinicius Jr. did not score in the match, but was surely one of the best players for Real Madrid in the El Clasico. He was toying with the Barcelona defenders, and it was the vintage Vinicius Jr performance. Vinicius Jr had a lot to do with the second goal of Real Madrid, as it was his solo effort that made the ball reach Eder Militao’s head. It was fair to say he had a little better performance than the unstoppable Kylian Mbappe.

It was the 72nd minute when Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso made two changes. Dani Carvajal to replace Fede Valverde and Rodrygo to replace Vinicius Jr. Looking at the substitution, Vinicius Jr. was very furious. It was also seen that Vinicius Jr. said, “Always me. I’m leaving the team, it’s better if I leave, I’m leaving.” He went straight away down to the dressing room in anger. Later, he was back on the bench to support his team and did not look that happy.
The performance that he put on the night of the Clasico surely was the reason that made him react this way. Since the arrival of Xabi Alonso, Vinicius Jr. has barely played all 90 minutes in a match. Real Madrid are clear that they will not punish or fine Vinicius Jr. They feel that everything will be in the hands of the manager, Xabi Alonso.
