With the season that Ousmane Dembele has produced, surely he is the most favourite to win the Ballon d’Or 2025. In the 2024/2025 season with Paris Saint-Germain, Dembele has won four trophies: UEFA Champions League, Ligue 1, Trophee des Champions, and Coupe de France. He scored 37 goals and provided 16 assists. Dembele also gave two assists in the UCL Final.
If not Demebele, FC Barcelona’s Raphinha deserves to lift the award. He had a spectacular season with FC Barcelona as he scored 39 goals and provided 25 assists. His big competitor will be his teammate, Lamine Yamal. He has scored 21 goals and given 25 assists. Both players have three titles: La Liga, Supercopa de Espana, and Copa del Rey.
Surely, one player who fills all the criteria has to be the Portuguese midfielder Vitinha. He was a consistent performer throughout the year and has also won an international trophy with Portugal, the UEFA Nations League. Nuno Mendes can also be a good shout as he has done the same.
