Finally, Real Madrid returned to the Bernabeu after playing six away matches. This was not the return the fans and the players expected. They were playing Celta Vigo, and Real Madrid lost to Celta Vigo 2-0. Xabi Alonso seems out of ideas, and so are his players, with them not understanding what to do on the pitch. Cetla Vigo won against Real Madrid after 19 years.
Now FC Barcelona sits in the first position with 40 points and leads the table by four points from Real Madrid. Barcelona played Real Betis, and they trashed them 5-3 in Seville. Ferran Torres scored a hat-trick, with Yamal and Roony also scoring a goal. Real Madrid started the match against Celta with four points behind Barcelona and ended the match four points behind as well.

The first half of the match did not go as planned for Real Madrid. Eder Militao, one of the best players of Real Madrid, got an injury in the 24th minute. Basically, he tore his hamstring, and this does not seem good for Real Madrid. Eder is most likely to be out for 3-4 months. The scans will be confirmed in the following week. Real Madrid had around five shots in the first half but could not convert any of them into goals. Bryan Zaragoza was lethal for Cetla as he set up Duran, but he missed it.
In the second half of the match, Real Madrid hit a few shots on goal, as one of Jude Bellingham’s saves was pulled off brilliantly by Ionut Andrei Radu. Cetla scored the first goal of the match in the 64th minute. Fran Garcia did the most ridiculous thing in the match as he picked up two yellow cards in a matter of 60 seconds and was sent off. Real Madrid were down to 10 men. This was the period in the match where it felt Real Madrid genuinely wanted to win the match.
Another not-so-great decision of the match by the referee came in the 90+2 minute when Carreras was sent off . He received a second yellow for talking to the referee. Williot Swedberg was again on the scoresheet after just one minute. Celta Vigo got a win at the home of Real Madrid after 19 years, and now the questions are about the coach Xabi Alonso. Real Madrid is now four points behind Barcelona. They are also just one point above Villareal, but Villareal has a game in hand.
