Crystal Palace 2-1 Liverpool
The match was on 27th September as Selhurst Park was the venue. Liverpool started the matchday six with a five-point lead over Arsenal. Crystal Palace’s Ismaila Sarr scored the first goal in the 7th minute of the match. Liverpool again scored a late goal in the 87th minute. Federico Chiesa was the goal scorer. Liverpool, though they escaped the defeat but they got the taste of their own medicine. Edward Nketiah, the former Arsenal man, scored in the 90+7 minute. Eventually, Palace won the match.

Newcastle United 1-2 Arsenal
Before the start of the match, Arsenal knew that if they won, the points gap would be cut down to two points. St. James’ Park was the venue for the match, and the date was 28th September. Newcastle started on a positive note as their new signing, Nick Woltemade, scored the goal in the 34th minute.
Arsenal performed very well but could not find the goals. Mikel Merino scored the first goal for Arsenal in the 84th minute, and Gabriel scored the winning goal in the 90+6 minute. There was a penalty call in the 87th minute as well, but the referee was not interested. Arsenal took full advantage of Liverpool dropping two points.
