Women’s Premier League 2025, or WPL 2025, is the third edition of the T20 domestic cricket league for women. The upcoming WPL will commence on 14 February 2025 and conclude on 15 March 2025. Since the league is still new, five teams will participate in the tournament. You know the meaning of fewer teams: a double round-robin format with two playoff matches. There will be twenty-two matches, out of which twenty games will be on the league stage.
The top three teams qualify for the playoff round, and the first-ranking team will advance directly to the finals. The remaining two teams will play an “Eliminator” round to determine the second finalists. Women Premier League’s 2025 venue lists are across four cities: Mumbai, Lucknow, Bengaluru, and Vadodara.
WPL’s debut season 2023 was won by Mumbai Indians, whereas Royal Challengers Bangalore won the second edition. Delhi Capitals was in the WPL’s final match twice, and they ended up as the runner-up in both editions. Although they didn’t win the title, you can consider them the most promising team.
