Jasprit Bumrah or Arshdeep Singh – Who will be India’s top wicket taker in the Asia Cup 2025
India will face three opponents in the Group Stage of the Asia Cup. First up, they will play the host, the United Arab Emirates, on the 10th of September. After that, they will face their arch-rivals, Pakistan, on 14th September at the Dubai International Stadium. Last up, on 19th September, they will face Oman. Let us have a look at who will be India’s top wicket-taker in the Asia Cup 2025:
Jasprit Bumrah
Surely there’s no better bowler than Jasprit Bumrah right now, whether it be Test cricket, ODI cricket, or T20 format. He has played 70 matches for India in T20 and has picked up 89 wickets. There have been times when he has single-handedly changed the match.
Bumrah has an economy under 6.30 in T20 format, which is surely unmatchable in this format, with 70 matches played. He is still waiting for a fifer in the T20 format for India.
Arshdeep Singh
This tournament can be a lot more special for Arshdeep Singh, as he just needs one wicket to complete 100 wickets in the T20 format for India. He will become the first bowler to cross wickets for India in this format.
His partnership with Jasprit Bumrah surely will make it tough for the batters to score their runs, whether it be at the start of the innings or in the death overs. Arshdeep is currently in 10th place in the ICC T20 Bowling Rankings.
