India and Australia will play a lot of three One-Day Internationals and five T-20 Internationals. India just won the Asia Cup for the 9th time in the United Arab Emirates. They are currently playing the West Indies team in a two-match test series, which they are leading 1-0. The Australian team just won a three-match T20 series 2-0 against their arch-rivals, New Zealand.

ODI Format
Finally, after the T20 World Cup 2024, we will see Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma playing for the Indian team. There is a big chance for India in the ODI format, as Shubman Gill is the new captain of India in the ODI format for the Australia series. Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney are the venues for the three ODIs. Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma are left out of the ODI squad against Australia. Shreyas Iyer is back in the Indian team squad for the ODIs.

The Indian team for the T20Is is almost the same as the team that won the Asia Cup 2025. Nitish Kumar Reddy is one of the additions to the T20 squad. Abhishek Sharma was mind-blowing in the Asia Cup. Now, he will be the player to watch out for in the Australia series as well. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the side with Gill as his deputy.
