The age for achieving new records in India is getting younger day by day, as we have seen one in the Ranji Trophy 2025-2026. Basically, Vaibhav Suryavanshi was named Bihar Vice-Captain for the Ranji Trophy for the first two matches after Record-Breaking Youth Performances. The kid is special as he has shown what he can do in the Indian Premier League.
Bihar is going to play in the Ranji Trophy Plate 2025-2026. Basically, Bihar will first play Arunachal Pradesh (15th – 18th October) at the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium in Patna. Later, they will face Manipur (25th – 28th October) at the Gokulbhai Somabhai Patel Stadium, Nadiad. They will face Meghalaya, Sikkim, and Mizoram in the month of November.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi Named Bihar Vice-Captain for Ranji Trophy After Record-Breaking Youth Performances
Basically, Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his debut in the Ranji Trophy at the age of 12. Since then, he has played in five matches and scored 100 runs, and has a highest score of 41 runs. He still needs to score runs in the Ranji Trophy, but he is the kind of kid who will perform when he is given responsibility. Sakibul Gani will be the player to lead the Bihar team in the Ranji Trophy’s first two matches.
It was the previous Indian Premier League season when the Rajasthan Royals purchased the 13-year-old (at that time) Vaibhav Suryavanshi for ₹1.10 crore. In just his third match in the Indian Premier League, he scored a 35-ball century against the Gujarat Titans. He became the second fastest player to score a century in the IPL and the fastest India, breaking Yusuf Pathan’s 14-year-old record. Vaibhav Suryavanshi also scored a half-century.
Since then, he has also performed for India in the Under-19 matches. He also has the Fastest Youth ODI Century, which he scored in just 52 balls. Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the leading run-scorer in India’s Under-19 tour against England. Next year is the ICC Under-19 World Cup, where he will play a key role for the Indian team.
