This game had a lot of drama before and after the match. When we look at the match, India were chasing 128 runs. The innings started with a first-ball four and a second-ball six by Abhishek Sharma on Shaheen Afridi’s bowling.
India scored 61/2 in the power play. In the end, India won the match by seven wickets and got a place in the Super-Fours. Kuldeep Yadav was the Man of the Match in this match.

2nd Match – UAE vs India
This was the first match for India in the Asia Cup 2025, and they were the defending champions; they played like one. India bowled out the host for just 57. In reply, they chased the target in just 4.3 overs as they scored 60/1.
Abhishek Sharma created history in that match by scoring a first-ball six in the T20 format. No player has ever done that. Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets and was eventually the Man of the Match.

9th Match – Bangladesh vs Afghanistan
This was a must-win match for the Bangladesh team to keep their hopes alive in the Asia Cup 2025. They got the start they needed as the openers gave them a perfect start by scoring 59/0 in the first six overs. Tanzid Hasan also scored a fifty.
At the end, the Bangladesh team won the match by eight runs. Nasum Ahmed was the Man of the Match for his 11/2 in his four overs. He also got a wicket on the first ball of the second innings.

5th Match – Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka
It was the first match for the six-time Asia Cup winners, Sri Lanka, in the Asia Cup 2025. They bowled well as they restricted Bangladesh batters to 139/5 in their 20 overs. It was the Pathum Nissanka and Kamil Mishara batting that took the match away from the Bangladesh win.
Both players managed to score 55/1 in the first six overs, and eventually, Sri Lanka won the match by six wickets. Pathum Nissanka was the Man of the Match in this game.

11th Match – Afghanistan vs Sri Lanka
Afghanistan just needed a win to qualify for the Super-Fours, but the Sri Lankan team had some different plans. Basically, Afghans scored 169/8 in their 20 overs. Sri Lanka lost two early wickets, but with the help of Kusal Mendis and Kusal Perera, they scored 53/2 in the powerplay overs.
Sri Lanka won this match and kept their perfect record, winning three out of their three matches. Kusal Mendis was the player of the match.
