India won the Asia Cup 2025 final against Pakistan on 28th September at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates. This was India’s 9th Asia Cup title and second in a row. The Pakistan team gave India a target of 147 runs by batting first, as we saw a batting collapse from them after getting a great start. India chased the target in 19.2 overs with Tilak Varma being the superstar of the Asia Cup 2025 final. He scored 69* runs in 53 balls and was also the Man of the Match in the final. There was no trophy given to the Indian team as they refused to collect it from the ACC chief Mohsin Naqvi, as he is also one of the ministers of Pakistan. Eventually, the Indian team did wait for more than 50 minutes as they later began their celebrations without the trophy. The Indian captain found it very strange. He said he saw for the first time that when a team won, no trophy was given.
