During the conference after the finals, the Indian Captain Suryakumar Yadav made a bold decision. Basically, Suryakumar decided to donate his match fees for the whole tournament to the Indian Armed Forces, showcasing gratitude, saying, “It’s the Right Thing To Do”.
After which, the Pakistan team’s captain, Salman Ali Agha, responded with the same action. He stated that, as a team, Pakistan will also be donating the match fees to the civilians who lost their lives and the children affected by the attack by India.
Even after the Finals, team India did not take the Asia Cup 2025 trophy from the hands of Pakistan’s interior Minister. The team celebrated their win with pride without taking the winning trophy.
