2010 Asia Cup (ODI FORMAT)
This was the tenth edition of the Asia Cup, and it had been almost 15 years since India had won the Asia Cup. Sri Lanka was the host country. India was playing Sri Lanka in the final, and they were the defending champions.
MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat first. India scored 268 runs and lost six wickets in their 50 overs. Dinesh Karthik was the top scorer as he scored 66 runs in 84 balls. Apart from him, MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma had cameo appearances of 38 runs and 41 runs.
The Sri Lankan batters had just 187 runs in reply. They lost the match by 81 as Ashish Nehra got four wickets. Dinesh Karthik was the Man of the Match in the Final, whereas Shahid Afridi was the Player of the Tournament.
2016 Asia Cup (T20 FORMAT)
This was the 13th edition of the Asia Cup. The Asia Cup was happening in the T20 format for the first time since the competition started. Bangladesh was hosting the Asia Cup 2016. India, which lost the last Asia Cup final in 2014, was facing the host Bangladesh in the 2016 Asia Cup Final.
Due to heavy rain, the match was reduced to 15 overs. Mahendra Singh Dhoni asked the Bangladesh team to bat first. They could only score 122 runs in the 15 overs they got. India lost an early wicket of Rohit Sharma, but his opening partner, Shikhar Dhawan, had different plans.
