The West Indies cricket team is all set to visit India for the two-match test series for the 2025-2027 World Test Championship cycle. Basically, the two matches are scheduled between 2nd October and 14th October 2025. The matches will start at 9:30 AM. Eventually, the India vs West Indies 2 Test Series Squads will be announced.
This is the second test series for both teams in the 2025-2027 World Test Championship cycle. India played their first series against England away from home. They won two matches, lost two, and one match was drawn. India is third on the table with 46.67 Pct. On the other hand, the West Indies are in last place with no points as they lost all three test matches to the Australians.
India vs West Indies 2 Test Series Squads Announced
The first test match between India and the West Indies will commence on the 2nd October and end on the 6th October. Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is the venue for the match. The second test match will start after four days. 10th October is the first day of the second test match, whereas 14th October is the last. Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in New Delhi is the venue.
India and the West Indies have played a total of 100 test matches against each other. The West Indies team enjoys a lead in the head-to-head record in the test matches as they have won 27 times. At the same time, India has won 23 matches. The other 50 matches did not have a result as they ended in a draw.
The last time India and the West Indies played a test series was two years ago, in 2023. India won the first test match by an innings and 141 runs, whereas the second match ended in a draw. The last time the West Indies team won a test series against India was in 2002.

All the players performed very well in the England series and are less likely to see major chances in India’s squad. Everyone has their eyes on Shreyas Iyer, whether he will get his place or not. There are two players who could be a surprise addition to the squad, one is Devdutt Padikkal, and the other is Narayan Jagadeesan.
