India were the favourites going into the match, and India dominates Pakistan again, and this time it was in the Group A match of the Asia Cup 2025. They won the match by seven wickets with Kuldeep Yadav winning his back-to-back second Man of the Match award. The venue for this match was the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, and the date was 14th September.

There were a lot of empty seats at the stadium. Pakistan again won the toss and elected to bat first this time as well. They didn’t make any changes to the starting eleven. Suryakumar Yadav was happy as he wanted to bowl first, and he too didn’t make any changes to his team that started the first match against the United Arab Emirates.

It was a dream start for India as Hardik Pandya picked up a wicket on the first ball of the innings. Jasprit Bumrah picked up Mohammad Haris in the second over. Sahibzada Farhan scored 40 runs for Pakistan as Kuldeep Yadav took his wicket.

The Pakistan batters would hardly reach 100 runs; it looked at some point, but Shaheen Afridi’s four sixes helped them reach 127/9 in 20 overs. Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets for India, whereas Bumrah and Axar got two each. Varun and Hardik also got a wicket.

Abhishek Sharma, when he comes to bat, doesn’t look at the target; he plays his natural game. In this match too, he scored 10 runs in the first two balls. He scored a quick-fire 31 runs in 13 balls as Saim Ayub got him out, and he got Gill out before as well. India needed a partnership, and Tilak Varma and captain Suryakumar Yadav got it.

They added 46 for the third wicket before Saim Ayub again got a wicket, and this time it was Tilak Varma. Later, it was a matter of time in how long India would win the match. Suryakumar Yadav, the birthday boy, scored the winning runs by hitting a six.

India chased the target in under 16 overs with 25 balls left. This was their second win in the Asia Cup 2025, as they have a place in the Super-Fours. Kuldeep Yadav was the Man of the Match for his three wickets for 18 runs in four overs. This was his second Man of the Match award, and he is now the leading wicket-taker in the Asia Cup 2025 so far, with seven wickets.
