Some things just don’t change, like the colour of the sky, the colour of the sun, and India beating Pakistan in the major cricketing events. India beat Pakistan by 6 wickets to get their First Super-Four win of the Asia Cup 2025. This was the first match for both teams in the Super-Four stage, and the Dubai International Cricket Stadium was the venue.
India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and decided his team would bowl first. The players, Bumrah and Varun, who did not feature in the last match, were back in the team. Pakistan’s captain also wanted to bowl first. They also made two changes to their team as Nawaz and Khushdil did not make it to the playing eleven.

The Pakistani openers gave a decent start to their team. Abhishek Sharma dropped a simple catch in the first over. The wicket of Fakhar Zaman was not out for some fans, as they did not open their eyes to see the dismissal, as Sanju Samson’s hands were clearly below the ball. Sahibzada Farhan scored a half-century for the Pakistan team.
The rest of the batters had small cameos, which helped Pakistan reach 171/5 in their 20 overs. It was an average day for Indian fielders as they dropped a few catches and also missed out on a few run-outs. Shivam Dube was the pick of the bowlers for his 2/33 in four overs.
From the time Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill stepped onto the field, the boys looked confident and full of hunger. The last time Abhishek Sharma smashed Shaheen for a boundary, this time he started with a first-ball six. Both boys from Punjab added 105 runs for the first wicket and took the match away from the Pakistanis.
Abhishek scored 74 runs, whereas Gill just missed out on a well-deserved half-century. Tilak Varma also played an important knock of 30 runs in 19 balls. Eventually, India won the match as they scored 174/4 in 18.5 overs.
There was such nonsense aggression from the Pakistani players towards the India boys, but if you poke the devil, he will fire you back. Abhishek Sharma just added more salt to their wounds by playing such a knock. He was the Man of the Match. Pakistan players talk about sportsmanship, I guess they forgot what it actually means since they entered the stadium.
