The ICC Champions Trophy is making a comeback after eight years in 2025. It’s the nineteenth edition of the Champions Trophy. This ODI tournament has set its schedule to begin on 19 February 2025. The eight teams will be divided into two groups. ICC Champions Trophy 2025 All-Team Playing XI including captain and vice-captain.
It’s a fifteen ODI match tournament with twelve group-stage matches, two semi-finals, and one final match. The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has a hybrid host format. Initially, the previous winner of the Champions Trophy, Pakistan, was going to be the host, but there were certain circumstances.
India raised their concern to the ICC regarding their safety when traveling to Pakistan for the matches. Due to this, the UAE is partnering as a hybrid host. All the matches related to India will be at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will witness the entry of the Afghanistan team for the first time in a Champions Trophy tournament. However, South Africa and England asked the ICC to ban the Afghanistan team because the Taliban refused to create a women’s team. Although the ICC didn’t take any action because it was unfair to Afghanistan’s men’s team, they did face criticism for this.

All the team squads for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 have been announced except for Pakistan, the host. There’s no announcement of the official playing eleven for any of the teams. Basically, this will be a probable playing eleven for, more accurately, the Pakistan team.

Most of the teams have not elected their vice-captains yet. It’ll most likely be updated when the ICC Champions Trophy is just around the corner.
