One of the most exciting and nail-biting formats in cricket is the T20 format. We are just months away from the 10th edition of the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup commencing. The tournament will start on the 7th of February 2026 and will end on the 8th of March 2026. Five venues in India are confirmed, whereas two in Sri Lanka are confirmed, as they are the hosts. There will be a total of 55 matches in the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup, just like the previous edition, which India won. The 55 matches also include the knockout games. We will see a total of twenty teams compete for the ultimate trophy. India, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Australia, England, Afghanistan, West Indies, Bangladesh, South Africa, the United States, the UAE, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Netherlands, Canada, Italy, Nepal, Namibia, Oman, and Pakistan are the teams that will play the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup.

Basically, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which is the largest stadium in the world, will be the host for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 final. The stadium has a total capacity of more than 1,30,000. This venue was also the host for the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023, which any of the Indian fans wouldn’t want to remember as India lost by dominating the whole tournament. India plays a lot of games at this venue.

Apart from the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, there are four other venues that will host the matches of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Eden Gardens in Kolkata has a total capacity of more than 67,000. Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai has a total capacity of more than 37,000. Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in Delhi has a total capacity of more than 35,000. Lastly, M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai has a total capacity of more than 38,000. We can see a lot of important matches, such as the semi-final, which can be held here.

Sri Lanka is also the host, as Pakistan will play all of their matches in Sri Lanka. There are two venues in Sri Lanka that are finalised. R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo and Pallekele Cricket Stadium in Kandy. Both teams have a seating capacity almost similar, which is around 35,000. If Pakistan reaches the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, then R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo will host the final.
