The R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo was the venue for the match. Eventually, the toss had a controversy as the match referee made a mistake by listening to the call and gave it to the Pakistani captain. Fatima Sana won the toss and decided that Pakistan would bowl first. They made one change as Sadaf Shamas replaced Omaima Sohail. The Indian Women’s team also made one change from the last match. Amanjot was not playing because he was not well, and Renuka replaced her.

The Indian openers got a decent start as Smirti and Pratika added 48 runs for the first wicket. Later, every Indian batter had comeos. Harleen Deol was the highest scorer for the Indian Women’s team as she made 46 runs in 65 balls. Richa Ghosh scored a quick-fire 35* runs in 20 balls. India was all out on the last ball of the innings as they scored 247/10. Diana Baig was the pick of the bowlers for the Pakistan team. She had bowling figures of 4/69 in 10 overs.

Basically, the Pakistani Women’s team did not have a great start with the bat as they lost three wickets for just 26 runs in the 12th over. Sidra Amin and Natalia Pervaiz put up a fight, but it was not enough. Eventually, Sidra Amin scored 81 runs in 106 balls. Pakistan Women were all out for 159/10 as India Women won the match by 88 runs. Deepti Sharma and Kranti Gaud got three wickets each.
Kranti Gaud was the Player of the match as she picked up 3/20 in her 10 overs. It also included three maiden overs. India’s ruling party, the BJP, posted on their X handle about India’s domination over Pakistan Women in the ODI format, and the World Cup still continues.

This is surely a great record to hold as the India Women are undefeated against the Pakistan Women’s team in the ODI format. Indian Women have faced Pakistan 16 times in the T20 format. They have won 13 times, whereas Pakistan has only won three times. Lastly, the Indian Women are first on the points table with two wins in two matches. They will face South Africa Women next, which is on 9th October at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
