Finally, Hansi Flick’s and FC Barcelona’s 11-match winning streak comes to an end. Real Sociedad, playing at Estadio Municipal de Anoeta, won their match against FC Barcelona 2-1. The game had a lot to offer and surely was entertaining for the neutral fans. It did not take much for the Real Sociedad players to give a reply, as the next time, Real Sociedad made it 2-1. Goncalo Guedes was the goal scorer.

The game had more drama as Carlos Soler, the assist provider of the second goal, was sent off in the 88th minute of the game. At the end, Real Sociedad won their match 2-1, and now just one point separates Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. Basically, FC Barcelona plays midweek in the Champions League against Slavia Prague away from home. This is a must-win game for them to keep their top-eight hopes alive. Their next game in La Liga is against Real Oviedo at home on 25th January.
