“Talk Less, Play more” as Lamine Yamal again fails in big matches| Estevao & Caicedo Masterclass beat Chelsea beat Barcelona 3-0

Fans might have thought that Chelsea had everything to beat FC Barcelona, but surely no one saw this coming: Chelsea destroyed FC Barcelona 3-0. It was again a perfect team performance with every player doing what the coach had assigned him to do. There were two youngsters on the pitch. One just talks, and the other’s performance does the talking.

Chelsea now has 10 points in the UEFA Champions League 2025/2026 league phase after matchday five. They currently move to the fifth position in the points table, but there are teams that play their match tonight. FC Barcelona goes down to the 15th position with three matches remaining. Both teams started on the front foot, with Ferran Torres missing a sitter for FC Barcelona in the early minutes. Two goals from Enzo Fernandes were ruled out due to offside. Finally, Chelsea got a goal in the match as Cucurella’s ball in the box was put in by Kounde in his own net. Just before the first half, Araujo got a second yellow card and was sent off.

Chelsea dominated the first half, and it was evident they would do the same in the second. Chelsea brought in Andrey Santos for Malo Gusto, whereas FC Barcelona brought in Marcus Rashford for Ferran Torres. Ten minutes into the second half, Estevao scored his best goal in Europe with his wrong foot, and what a goal it was. Chelsea were enjoying dominance as three of their goals were overturned by VAR. It did not happen for the fourth time as Enzo set it up for Liam Delam’s first goal at Stamford Bridge.

Eventually, Chelsea won the match by 3-0, and it is tough to say who was the best player for Chelsea on the pitch. Caicedo surely deserves respect as he had 100% perfect tackles. Yamal was nowhere in the game, with Cucurella enjoying pure control over him. Enzo Fernandes was brilliant in midfield. Pedro Neto and Garnacho worked hard. It was a team performance by Chelsea and again proved that you can never write them off.
