Eventually, SA20 2025-26 will start from the 26th of December 2025 and will go on till the 25th of January 2026. Basically, all the matches will be played in different venues in South Africa. Certainly, the MI Cape Town are the defending champions as they won in the previous season after ending the domination of the Sunrisers Eastern Cape. Who wins this season will be a thing to see. Sunrisers Eastern Cape (2023 and 2024)
The trophy in the first edition is always very special, but what made it more special was the back-to-back title for the Sunrisers Eastern Cape. They first defeated Pretoria Capitals in the 2023 SA20 in the final and later Durban’s Super Giants in the SA20 2024 final.
MI Cape Town (2025)
The MI Cape Town are the defending champions as they stopped Sunrisers Eastern Cape from winning the competition three times in a row. MI Cape Town basically defeated Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the SA20 2025 final by 76 runs as Marco Jansen won the Player of the Series award.
