Today, that is 4th October, India will announce their squad for their upcoming T20I and ODI matches with Australia, which start from 19th October. The question is, will Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma be included in India’s squad vs Australia? Australia will host India.
We will see a total of eight matches between Australia and India. First, we will see a three-match ODI series. The first ODI is on 19th October, the second on 23rd October, whereas the third and Final ODI will be on 25 October. We will see the five-match T20 series starting from 29th October, whereas the last, which is the fifth T20I, will be on 8th November.
Should Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma be included in India’s squad vs Australia?
Let us start with Rohit Sharma. He is the current captain of the Indian Cricket Team in the ODI format. Rohit Sharma, so far, has played 19 ODIs in Australia and has managed to score 990 runs, which is the highest by any Indian. The preparation of the ODI World Cup also starts here, with him being the leader and an experienced batter. He will be in the ODI. Rohit won’t play T20Is as he has already retired from that format.

The Indian team playing against Australia in Australia without Virat Kohli will surely be incomplete. Eventually, Virat Kohli loves the Australian soil, as many of his memorable knocks have been against Australia across all formats. In the 18 innings in ODI format in Australia, Virat Kohli has managed to score 802 runs. As Virat only plays one format now, he will mostly be included in the Indian ODI squad for the Australian tour.
When we look at the Indian squad for the Australian tour, there will be a few players who will get a call-up. One of them has to be Riyan Parag, as he had a great India A tour. Riyan scored fifties in both matches against the Australia A team. Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant will miss out because of injuries. Shubhman Gill and Jasprit may also be given rest for the three ODI matches to manage their workload. Nitish Kumar Reddy will be back, as per reports.
