The second day of the test match between India and the West Indies was completed as Dhruv Jurel hits a Historic Maiden Test Century. India has a lead of 286 runs going into the third day of the test match. Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is the venue for the match.
Basically, the West Indies team captain, Roston Chase, won the toss and decided his team would bat first. It did not go as per the plan as the West Indies team could only manage to score 162/10. Mohammed Siraj was the pick of the bowlers for the Indian team as he took four wickets, whereas Jasprit Bumrah grabbed three. Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul added 68 runs for the first wicket before Jayden got Jaiswal out. Sai Sudharsan was dismissed early. The first day ended on 121/2 for India. KL Rahul was on 53*, whereas the captain Gill was on 18*. India was 41 runs behind.

Both KL Rahul and Shubman Gill started the second day with the same kind of batting intent they had on the first. Shubhman Gill scored a fifty as he was dismissed by Roston Chase. India were 188/3. Next comes Dhruv Jurel to the crease. One of India’s most reliable batters, KL Rahul, completed his century. This was his 11th century in Test Cricket. He celebrated in a new way, and later it was confirmed that it was for his newborn daughter. KL Rahul got out on 100 runs. India’s score was 218/4.
Ravindra Jadeja came to bat at number five. The time he came to bat, it was the Jurel-Jadeja show. Both players added 206 runs for the fifth wicket, and both of them got their centuries. Certainly, Dhruv Jurel did it first. This was his first-ever century in test-match cricket. Jurel made 125 runs in 210 runs before Khary Pierre got his wicket. He was replacing Rishabh Pant, and he played with the same intent. India were 424/5 when he got out.
Washington Sundar came to bat at number six. Ravindra Jadeja scored his century before the day ended and is still playing on 104* runs in 176 balls. This was his sixth century in Test Match cricket. India ended the day with a score of 448/5. They have a lead of 286 runs. They still have a batter named Nitish Kumar Reddy to come in. India is currently in the driver’s seat.
