Pakistan was playing against Bangladesh in a must-win game for a place in the Asia Cup 2025, as the Dubai International Stadium was hosting the game. Eventually, the date for the match was 25th September, 2025. Pakistan did not look comfortable, as Mohammad Haris was their highest scorer, as he scored 31 runs in 23 balls before Mahedi Hasan got him out. Pakistan scored 135/8 in their 20 overs. Taskin Ahmed was the best bowler for Bangladesh as he took 3/28 in his four overs. Mahedi Hasan and Rishad Hossain took two wickets each.

Bangladesh lost a wicket in the first over as Shaheen Afridi got the wicket of Parvez Hossain Emon. They again lost two quick wickets as Haris Rauf and Shaheen were the wicket takers. Same as Pakistani batters, no Bangladeshi batter would be comfortable on this wicket. Shamim Hossain scored the maximum runs for Bangladesh as he scored 30 runs in 25 balls. Bangladesh could only score 124/9 in their 20 overs. Eventually, Pakistan won the match by 11 runs. Haris Rauf took three wickets for 33 runs.

Shaheen Shah Afridi was the Man of the Match for his brilliant bowling spell. He picked up three wickets and had an economical bowling figure of 3/17 in his four overs. This was his second Man of the Match award of the Asia Cup 2025. Pakistan has a place in the final, and now they will face India on 28th September in the final
