The tournament started in 2021 and has been a hit since, with each season adding new names to The Hundred Women’s Competition Winners List. The first edition of the Hundred started in 2021. Cricket fans were confused about the format, but once the tournament started, it quickly gained recognition and became a fan favourite. However, in the first season, the Oval Invincibles made history by winning the Hundred.
It was a very thrilling match against Southern Brave. The Oval had a great bowling line-up and dominated the game. The beaten Southern Brave by 48 runs. Tash Farrant and Dane Van Niekerk gave an excellent performance.
2022 Edition Winner: Oval Invincibles
In addition, the 2022 season Oval’s Invincible showcasing confidence took over the win again, against the Southern Brave again. Both teams showed great consistency in the game. Above all, the bowlers of the Ovals showed great gameplay, and Marizanne Kapp took great wickets.
The team chased a score of 101, with star batters Suzie Beats and Alice Capsey being the key players of the match.
2023 Edition Winner: Southern Brave
Then in 2023, Southern Brave finally scored the title by giving an excellent performance. Basically, they gave a brilliant all-rounder performance, totally dominating the Northern Superchargers. They were focused and came fully prepared to take the win.
It was a great moment for the team as they lost twice, in other words, came so close to the trophy but couldn’t win. They showed an incredible comeback and great teamwork.
2024 Edition Winner: London Spirit
In last year’s 2024 season, the London Spirit were the champions, showing incredible performance. However, the Wesh Fire gave a really tough fight and did not let the win go easily.
Deepti Sharma impressed everyone by hitting a six on the last shot and claiming the win. It was a very thrilling match and one of the most entertaining finals.
