The Hundred is one of the most unique and interesting cricket competitions across the globe. Basically, the England and Wales Cricket Board came up with this tournament. It was first played in 2021, which was the first edition of The Hundred. The Hundred Men’s Competition Winners list shows one team winning twice.
It is a 100-ball cricket match; both teams get a hundred balls to play and score their runs. In 2025, it will be the fifth edition of The Hundred. It starts from 5th August and goes on till the 31st of August. There are a total of eight teams playing. The fifth edition will see a total of thirty-four matches, which includes an eliminator and the final.
James Vince, the Southern Brave batter, holds the record for the most runs in The Hundred so far. He has scored a total of 980 runs. When we look at the player with the most wickets in The Hundred so far, it is also a player from the Southern Brave team. Tymal Mills is the bowler with the most wickets, 43 wickets.

The Hundred Men’s Competition Winners list
In the first four seasons of The Hundred Men’s Competition, we have seen a different winner for the first two seasons, and the last two seasons have been won by the same team.
All the finals of The Hundred have been played at Lord’s Stadium in London. Let us have a look at the winners of each edition, with what happened in the final:
2021 Edition winner: Southern Brave
The first final of The Hundred was played between Southern Brave and Birmingham Phoenix. Southern Brave, batting first, scored 168 runs with Paul Stirling hitting 61 runs in 36 balls.
In reply, Birmingham Phoenix could only score 136 as they lost the match by 32 runs. Paul Stirling was the Man of the Match in the final, whereas Birmingham Phoenix’s Liam Livingstone was the Player of the Tournament.
2022 Edition winner: Trent Rockets
It was one of the closest finals of The Hundred. Trent Rockets were facing the Manchester Originals. It was the Manchester Originals who were batting first, and they scored 120 runs in their 100 balls. Trent Rockets won the game with just two balls to spare.
It was the day for the ballers as Sam Cook was the Man of the Match for just giving 18 runs in his twenty balls and getting four wickets. Adam Lyth won the Player of the Tournament award.
2023 Edition winner: Oval Invincibles
This was Manchester Originals’ back-to-back second The Hundred finals, but this time, too, they lost the match. Oval Invincibles were batting first, and they scored 167 runs after a bad start. James Neesham and Tom Curran made a partnership of 133 runs, with both players getting half-centuries. Manchester Originals fell short by 14 runs.
Tom Curran was the Man of the Match for his all-round performance in the final. He got 67* runs with the bat and picked an important wicket of Phil Salt. Jamie Overton was the Player of the Tournament.
2024 Edition winner: Oval Invincibles
Back-to-back two finals and two titles for Oval Invincibles as they won the 2024 The Hundred. They were playing the champions of the first edition, Southern Brave. Oval Invincibles’ strong bowling helped them secure their consecutive titles.
Saqib Mahmood picked up three wickets and just gave 17 runs in his 20-ball spell. He was also the Man of the Match in the final. Eventually, Sam Curran was the Player of the Series of The Hundred 2024.
