Slide 1: Serve Underhand
Swing low as if scooping! The ball kicks under your waist during hitting. Example: Swing up at the knee gently.
Slide 2: Serve Diagonal
Send the ball to the opposite box across the court. Example: From your right to their box on the right.
Slide 3: One Bounce Rule
Let it bounce once on each side before it is volleyed. Example: Serve bounces, return bounces, then set air.
Slide 4: Kitchen- No Volley
Standing in the kitchen, do not hit the ball in midair. Example: Near the net, let it bounce first.
Slide 5: Faults Happen
Ball is out, net is hit, or kitchen volley = fault. Example: Gone past the back line.
Slide 6: Only Servers Score
Only serving teams can score. Example: When you serve and win, it counts.
Slide 7: One Hit Only
The teams are allowed one hit before sending the ball back. Example: One clean strike with the paddle.
Slide 8: Call Your Lines
It is your call whether or not the ball lands in or out on your side . Example: If it's clearly out, you say,"Out"!
Slide 9: Serving Order (Doubles)
Begin serving right first; get a point Switch. The other team gets to serve.. Example: Right service, score, left move.
Slide 10: First Serve (Starting Off)
The first team serving gets to serve only once. In case of a fault, the other team starts to serve. Example: First serve hits the net- they get the ball.
